It's time to don your hats, gloves and finery! Members and guests will enjoy an elegant light luncheon and a special selection of sandwiches, sweets and teas. A presentation, "The Language of Flowers in Victorian Times" by noted Rosarian, Gloria Leinbach will kick off the event. Live entertainment will be provided by award winning harpist and recording artist, Shawna Selline and complimentary self-guided tours of the Museum, Red Car exhibit, new transportation exhibition and special exhibition assembled especially for this event will follow the program. Queen Victoria and Her Traveling Trunk

The community is invited to the first in a series of Historical Lectures, "Queen Victoria and Her Traveling Trunk" at the Banning Museum in the Harlyne and Kenneth T. Norris Visitor Center. The lecture compares items from the Victorian era to items of today. Guests will be allowed to examine the artifacts displayed and will enjoy a question and answer session as part of the event. Light refreshments will be served. Admission to the event is $5.00 and no RSVP is required. Wisteria Regale

Friends of Banning Museum presents the Wisteria Regale Fundraiser. The event includes a Silent Auction, Hosted Bar, Dinner, Dancing and Entertainment. This year's Regale will feature award winning Magic Castle magician, Nathan Gibson. Known as "The Entertainer for Entertainers", Nathan has appeared on major TV networks; FOX, CBS, NBC, UPN, and A&E and most recently on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The Wisteria Regale will also include the presentation of the Festival King and Queen. The title of Wisteria King and Queen will be granted to two Banning High School students who have presented winning essays and each receive a scholarship for their accomplishments. Event tickets are $150.00 per person and reservations are required. Please call the Museum at (310) 548-2005 for further information. Proceeds from this event aid the Friends of Banning Museum in their mission to "Preserve History, Promote Education and Inspire Entrepreneurial Spirit".
Phineas Banning Birthday Concert

Our 4th Annual Phineas Banning Birthday Concert celebration commemorates the birthday of Phineas Banning, who played a key role in developing the world-renowned Port of Los Angeles. For this year's celebration we welcome back The Fabulous Esquires Big Band, a 17 piece swing band with two vocalists who will perform on the historic front porch of the Museum. VIP Event Tickets are $75.00 and include reserved seating, gated parking, dinner, beverages, dessert, concert and dancing. Picnic Event Tickets are $25.00. Bring your own picnic, blanket or chair and enjoy the concert, dancing and a complimentary dessert. Gates open at 5:45 pm. For more information, call (310) 548-2005.
