But, to this day I have ensured that this residence remains as lively, as interesting, and as full of fun as when the General hosted the famous picnics and parties which he called "regales." Winter Exhibition:
"Victorian Glass: Pressed, Colored and Cut "

The exhibition will showcase Victorian glass from the Friends of Banning Museum collection. It will feature a wide range of glass artifacts dating from 1850-1900—from functional to decorative, extravagant to everyday.

Special Exhibition: "Haute Couture in 19th Century California: From the Collection of the Banning Residence Museum"
The Museum will hold a special exhibition at Marymount College, located at 30800 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rancho Palos Verdes, will feature high-end clothing and accessories from the Friends of Banning Museum collection. All pieces on display will be authentic pieces from the last half of the 19th century and will include men's, women's and children's apparel. The exhibition will include artifiacts, photographs, fashion plates and accessories to provide a comprehensive look at how European and east coast high fashion was translated to the California frontier during the decades of 1850-1900. Banning Heritage Day
This free public day precedes the spring Banning Heritage Week and features events and activities reminiscent of life in the 1800s. Victorian entertainment, crafts and a free Trolley ride from the Residence to the Drum Barraacks Civil War Museum. Lunch is available for purchase. Great fun for the entire family! FREE

Summer Exhibition: "American Art Pottery: 1890-1920"
This exhibition will display a large collection of art pottery on loan from a Banning Residence Museum Volunteer and will include pieces of Weller, Roseville, Rookwood, McCoy and Newcomb College.
